UNESCO World Heritage Residence Scholarship 2024

UNESCO World Heritage Residence Scholarship, Established in 2018, is specifically designed for individuals passionate about cultural, artistic, or research endeavors linked to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its primary focus lies in fostering connections between the World Heritage site Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland and other recognized sites globally.

Gävleborg, Sweden, initiated the international World Heritage Residence Scholarship within the picturesque landscape of the ‘Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland’ region. A pivotal goal of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention is the facilitation of bonds among diverse communities, fostering international cooperation with peace at its core. Embracing these ideals, the World Heritage Residence Scholarship actively champions these principles by aiming to kindle curiosity and appreciation for our shared human history across World Heritage sites.

In alignment with this ethos, Gävleborg consistently seeks fresh and innovative concepts to forge artistic and creative exchanges between the Decorated Farmhouses of Hälsingland and other esteemed World Heritage sites globally. This collaborative approach encompasses a rich tapestry of culture, music, art, and an array of diverse creative expressions.
