Requirements for World Bank Group Junior Professional Associates (JPA) Program

To qualify for the JPA program, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be 28 years old or younger at the start of your service.
  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
  • Demonstrate fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the Bank’s working languages—Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish—is considered advantageous.


The World Bank will provide you with the opportunity to gain entry-level professional experience in a premier development institution, on a two-year, non-renewable Extended Term Consultant (ETC) contract with benefits.
